New Year Baseline Week

4 to 17 January 2027 · a limited-time challenge in the MetricBridge app

Seven nights of data, and one baseline that is yours. Log seven nights of sleep in Apple Health during the two weeks, and MetricBridge builds a card of your own averages for sleep, resting heart rate and HRV. It compares you with nobody but yourself.

Seven circles in a row above a thin line: the first five filled in teal, the last two empty outlines, showing five of seven nights logged.

How it works

  1. Wear your Apple Watch to bed. Any sleep that lands in Apple Health counts, as long as it is recorded between 4 and 17 January 2027 in your own time zone.
  2. Open the event in the app. The Baseline Week screen shows how many of the seven nights you have logged and how many days are left. You have fourteen days, so a late start still leaves room for seven nights.
  3. Get your baseline card. Once seven nights are logged you see your average and spread for sleep, resting heart rate and HRV, with the number of nights behind them. The app keeps the card on your iPhone after the event ends.

Where your data goes

The app does include an advertising measurement SDK, which reports install, trial and purchase events only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, and never receives health data. See the privacy policy for the detail.

Get the app

Baseline Week needs MetricBridge on an iPhone with iOS 17 or later, in the version that adds the event screen. If the app is already installed, this link opens the event straight away on your iPhone. If not, install it first and then open the link again.

Questions

Do I need an Apple Watch?

You need sleep recorded in Apple Health. An Apple Watch worn overnight is the easiest source for sleep, resting heart rate and HRV together. If resting heart rate or HRV is missing for your nights, the card shows only what Apple Health has.

What if I miss a night?

Nights do not have to be in a row. The fourteen-day window is there so that a few gaps still leave you seven logged nights.

What happens after 17 January?

The event ends. If you finished, the app still shows your saved card. If you did not, the screen points you to Ask, where you can question your own data any time.
